The Adams
Foundation, which underwrote concerts in Kelly Hall the past two
years, pays all the artists’ costs and provides a new Concert &
Artists Steinway for the performances. Adams Foundation funding
is perpetual as long as the concerts are well attended, but the
local sponsors are required to provide the hall and publicity at
their own expense. Tax-deductible donations to defray these
costs may be sent to: Yellow Springs Community Council, PO Box
274, Yellow Springs, OH 45387.
James
Johnston, the Presbyterian Church music director, is the
artistic director for the series, and a committee of
representatives from various Village groups will help manage the
project. The Yellow Springs Chamber of Commerce and the Dayton
Music Club are media sponsors.
Tickets at
the door are $15 adults, $6 students, or $25 adults and $10
students for the series of two concerts.
